A milestone for Wellbeing Technologies

Wellbeing Technologies Ltd has been accepted into the NVIDIA Inception program, a free program designed to support technology startups as they develop and grow. Membership provides access to developer resources and training, opportunities for eligible hardware and software benefits, and connections across the startup ecosystem. For our team, the milestone comes as we continue developing Wellbeing Suite: a Windows-based workspace for medical imaging, anatomical modelling and reconstruction research.

Why medical imaging and 3D reconstruction need careful engineering

Converting CT and MRI data into useful three-dimensional anatomical models involves more than creating a visually convincing surface. Image spacing, orientation, segmentation boundaries, mesh topology and relationships between neighbouring structures all affect how a model should be interpreted. Our work brings image inspection, segmentation editing, reconstruction and geometry review closer together, so researchers and engineers can examine both a result and the decisions behind it.

How NVIDIA technology fits into our development

Our accepted desktop research build has recorded NVIDIA GPU-accelerated 3D visualisation through VTK and OpenGL on a GeForce RTX graphics processor. Separately, an optional development-stage AI workflow has completed local CUDA-based segmentation inference using PyTorch, MONAI and NVIDIA NV-Segment-CT on a limited public CT research task. These are documented engineering results, not proof of clinical performance or support for every scan type, organ or hardware configuration. The final installed AI workflow remains under qualification.

Where we plan to go next

As part of our roadmap, we intend to assess additional GPU acceleration where it makes a measurable difference. Priorities include qualifying existing NVIDIA rendering and AI workflows across supported environments, profiling processing and memory demands, improving local AI-assisted segmentation, and evaluating CUDA and TensorRT for selected computational tasks where accuracy and compatibility can be preserved. Reconstruction algorithms and geometry quality checks still run primarily on the CPU; future acceleration must be measured against reproducible reference results.

Building for research first

Wellbeing Suite is currently a private research-stage application. We are developing workflows for medical imaging researchers, healthcare engineering teams and anatomy educators, with potential longer-term applications in surgical planning and patient-specific modelling. Clinical validation, wider hardware qualification and applicable regulatory work remain ahead. NVIDIA Inception membership does not mean NVIDIA has invested in, clinically validated or endorsed Wellbeing Suite.

Working with the research community

We welcome conversations with researchers, educators and healthcare technology teams interested in image-to-model workflows, segmentation review and reproducible 3D reconstruction. Explore our research collaboration work, read more about Wellbeing Suite, or contact our team to discuss a project. Please do not send identifiable patient data through our public website.

Our desktop software remains in development and is not for clinical decisions.
